Big Brother Love….Times 2!

If you’re ever in Palm Beach and need a little getaway with the children…..it is worth getting down to see the champion-size Kapok tree.  Its roots are massive, sprawling and crawling with lizards.  The garden in which it sits is beautiful, shaded and by the water – a nice place to let the children go!  I met these fun little guys down there yesterday….take a peek!

Six Degrees of Separation….

So…yes, I’m down in southern Florida…but these cute people are cousins of a little boy on Henry’s (my youngest) football team and a little girl that used to go to preschool with Henry back in Charleston.   Remember the human stack of siblings with a newborn on top?!  That’s them!  At any rate, these guys just moved down from NY and we happened to meet up to play yesterday afternoon.  When I asked the little girl what grade she was in; her response was, “Kindergarten.”  When that was the same answer for her brother….I asked if they were twins….her response, “No, we’re Irish.”  Love it.

YeeeeeeHaaaawwww

Again, some more of my favorites to visit while in PB.  We took a little field trip to a park by the zoo and got to enjoy ducks, funky trees and a little bit of boot-wearin’…or should I say boot-scootin’?!  Enjoyed our visit…and our constant giggles at the little guy trying to maneuver tromping through some tall grass, in some tall boots….!  Here’s a peek and will let you know when the rest go up.

Mar A Lago play time….Fabulous

By now these peeps are some of my favorites to visit….and they are nice enough to call on me every time I come down.  Mama decided to switch it up and change locations – and boy did we have a nice time at a beautiful spot.  So much fun seeing everyone grow…and both are getting so much bigger it was fun to “play” this time!!

After School play in the Yard!

“C”, “B” and “J” are some cute little peeps I visit every so often when I’m down here in Florida.  We made up a clever game of tag…had some fun hiding in the bushes from Mama…a game Leap Frog that might have been a tall order for lil “J”….and when I left – they got to have an egg hunt!  All of that sounds a whole lot better than the hours of h-o-m-e-w-o-r-k that goes on in my household!  Thanks for having me over…I had fun with you guys!

Bulldog Beach Boogie….

Back down in Florida for some fun this week…..first up – this cute Mama with her sweet pups.  Taking them to the beach was a new one for them…Bella was brave and got her toes in the water….Eddie, not so much….the sand was enough of a stretch for him.  We had a little cameo from my nephew….too bad he’s so grumpy!  Thanks for calling on me – loved getting to see everyone again.  Oh, is it just me….or does Eddie look like he’s got a tie on?  “What chu talkin’ bout, Willis?

Charleston Fashion Week luncheon benefitting MUSC Children’s Hospital

Congratulations and many thanks to Vickie Baker and Cheryl Steadman for putting on a fantastic luncheon for Charleston Fashion Week.  The auction brought in nearly $63,000 for MUSC Children’s Hospital…and for a quick little luncheon I think that’s pretty incredible.  Enjoyed seeing all the fashions from Pearl and Belk…and… a job well done by the little patients who walked the cat walk…You were workin’ it!

Folly Beach boat never disappoints….

For those of you who are from around here….you know exactly what this is….for those of you who aren’t – this here is an old sail boat on the side of the road out to Folly Beach.  It has layers, upon layers, upon layers of paint on it.  Anyone can paint on it.  I saw this on the way out to shoot the reception to last week’s wedding….this was my bride and groom.  Love it.

Luck of the Irish….

Happy Birthday to sweet little “L”…..he’s my buddy that I get to see every few months since he was a baby.  A teeny, tiny, 3-month old baby.  Now, he’s 4 and we had ourselves a little discussion on the porch.  He was telling me he was “Ready to be 18….cuz I want to be all growed up.  I’d live in a house that was blue…or red…or green.”  Just as matter-of-fact. I love your new laser bow-and-arrow and hope the rest of your day was magical.  Always good to see you and your parents.   Oh….and your Mama was right…you disappeared and things got silent.  She explained that you had just gotten a new bed the night before….we caught you!  Keep on jumpin’ little monkey….It makes life fun.

Perfect afternoon Wedding….

I love it when things turn out like this….Sarah is in Pharmacy School and decided to simplify her life by getting married during her Spring Break.  I, for one, think it was a brilliant choice.  The mood was laid back, calm and fun.  The wedding was quaint, small and simple.  What a perfect setting to never lose sight of why they were there….the excitement, love and emotion was full on.    Sweet Sarah had a bumpy start to her weekend with an ill-fitting dress, a rainy wedding day……but sometimes God has a funny little way of organizing things and that must have been the price you had to pay for perfection.  Not only did the skies clear just before go-time…but you two couldn’t have been happier.  Congratulations on a beautiful ceremony.  Here is your Sneak Peek!
