Family beach fun…

The weather around here lately has been….incredible.  We are about a month ahead in weather and this household is loving it – open windows and doors does wonders for me!

Well….this family was out at IOP last week and it couldn’t have been more beautiful on the beach.  We had had our fun in the back yard and I’m glad we made the decision to get down to the beach…..it was well worth it.  Here is your sneak peek – enjoyed meeting all of you and d-a-n-g if everyone doesn’t know my husband…he’s like the mayor of life.  I’ll be in touch when the rest go up!

Surfing through life…together.

These two are meant to be…and it shows in so many ways.  To start, they were both baptized…years ago as babies…by the same man who married them.  I find that so incredibly special and part of their cycle of life that was meant to be together.  Both had prepared letters for one another – he, having left his behind accidentally, ripped off a piece of banner paper and scribbled a quick note to her with a pencil.  She said it was, “Perfect.”  I can still get a lump in my throat thinking about his reaction to her…looking so beautiful in her wedding dress.  He couldn’t tell her enough once they exited the church nor could he take his eyes off her or wipe the grin from his face.

All was FABULOUS from the relaxed families and wedding party….to Dad’s great sprint for a corkscrew….to gettin’ down with Bobby in his 80’s glasses.  This was truly a celebration of two people – just look how many arms went flying in the air out of excitement!  Here is your sneak peek – and, thank you for including me.  It was fantastic.

(Oh…the sweet bride gave each of her bridesmaids a unique bathrobe…and thoughtfully hand made a different pair of earrings for each girl!  They were beautiful.  Check out this sweet couple’s store, Drift, in the BiLo shopping center on Coleman Blvd. where you can find surfing needs, her designed jewelry and swimwear!)

Sneaky Fox….

It was nice to shake it up and spend an afternoon in an unfamiliar environment…a barn.  I know nothing about horses and all that comes with them…except that I think ladies in their riding gear look fantastically sharp.  “L”, I enjoyed my afternoon with you and Miss Sneaky Fox….I think your Mama is right…you two are a match made in tween world.

Early morning beach….

Wow…..the beach was PERFECT early this morning.  Two sweet girls….happy as can be….and calm, cool weather at low tide.  “E”, thanks for giving me a welcoming hug and a goodbye kiss….and “H”, could you be any happier?  Oh to take something away from this shoot….live a little more like “H”…everyday.  Enjoyed it!

Joani - You captured these two cuties perfectly. E is a force. She has a sweet spunk which you captured perfectly. And H is a sweet beauty. You brought that out artfully with the use of your lens. Awesome job!

Love these Crazies…

I think I called these girls “Crazy Daisies” one time….and they are.  In a GREAT way.  Mama is super laid back….which translates down to all three of the children.  “K” was super quick to shimmy up an old oak tree….and a BIG one.  No biggy….and Mama said, “You might want to start figuring out how to get down.”  Perfect.  You got yourself up – get yourself down.  (Except notice the screaming shot…..that was for help out of one of the trees!)  Independence throughout…with confidence and joy from all three.  LOVE when I get to see you guys….it’s always a blast.

Baby Butter Bean….

Remember this little munchkin??  Well…she’s 4 months old now and soooo stinkin’ sweet and quite a chill-pill.  Mama, you look fantastic and Daddy….you and Miss Priss still have the same head.  As always, great to see you guys.

Getting Fritzy in the Park….

Despite the Labor Day heat…..we were out playing early enough before everyone broke into a full sweat.  I love the costumes, baby dolls and doggies….I think all of these things are important for a shoot….to keep it real.  Thanks for calling me…and I’m glad we pushed that square through a round hole!!

Travis Boatslip - Great family photos, especially for a hot Charleston summer day. It takes a great photographer to keep kids smiling like that.

“L” and his cousin….

By now…..if you follow me the teeniest bit – you know this cute fellow.  He and I have had a date every few months or so since he was born.  His birthday is St. Patrick’s Day – so I also call him the Little Leprechaun (side note: I never spell that word right.  Ever.)  So Mr. “L” now has a baby cousin and he joined us on our date this weekend.  So exciting…and even though he didn’t do much..I’m pretty sure he appreciates you showing him all your big boy legos.

Baby sister…..

I met this cute crew when little brother here was a teeny, tiny newborn….but now he is all BIG and has a little Miss Priss sister.  “R” seems to be pretty excited with everyone and knows just what to do to keep it all real.  Thanks for calling on me again – I love getting to meet Miss “P” and great to see “B” growing up!
