Mama on Vacation…

Mama’s originally scheduled shoot got pushed around due to weather…and my next available fell while she was out of town.  We were going to bag it all together until I thought…’Heeeey…I got this.’  I’ll dress them in sleeveless tank tops, daisy duke shorts and a tube top.  Age appropriate and Christmas card-worthy, right?  Seriously, I told her we could handle it without her…and surprise her with the results.  I showed up to perfectly brushed and ready-to-go angels…and we went and had ourselves some fun.  Thanks, Mama…glad we could get it done while you were away.

Little Elves…

This sweet family does Christmas right…the girls have matching Christmas outfits…Mama puts a tree up in every room…Daddy has the red scarf…(Needle scratch…yep, back up a bit, you read that right.  A tree in every room.  Jiminy Christmas.)  I love our photo shoot tradition…and thanks for having such holiday fun each and every time.

Lori Bates - You are truly gifted, Travis! We love our photo shoot tradition with you and look forward to years to come! Love ya! Lori : )

Little Miss Priss…

…so sweet and soooo smart.  I don’t think I’ve met a more enthusiastic Daddy.  My first meeting with him…he said, “Get your camera out…I’ve got something to tell the office.”  They played 20 questions…never to guess that he was about to announce that his sweet wife was pregnant again…with twins.  He had already called to find a bigger car.  Love it.

I believe Miss Priss is ready for the task of adding two to the household.  She is just as enthusiastic about life as Daddy…and Mama is just about one of the nicest people out there.  Congratulations sweet family.  It’s about to get even better.

Hushpuppies…

I’ve known this family for a few years…but have only been able to see Mama and the babies for our shoots.  Daddy was involved this year…and the first words out of his mouth…”Are those Hushpuppies?” while looking down at my shoes.  Hysterical.  I haven’t owned a pair of Hushpuppies…since the Lamar Lewis was about the only place you got your ‘Sunday Shoes’ in Athens, GA….if you’re wondering what was on my feet…I proudly wear my 12-year old son’s Clark’s…like the desert boot ones.  Hushpuppie Smushpuppie.

Mercy Jackson…

I always love it when pets are included in a shoot…I think it’s important to make a memory with the 4-legged friends…especially when they’re up in age.  Thanks for including Mercy and Jackson…they played the part of ‘wise ole grandparents’.

Papa and crew…

Love these people…year after year.  And yes, that is a finger IN the eye ball.  Sibling love at its finest.

Sweetness…

These are our old neighbors…who packed up and moved clear across into another zip code…and we miss them.  Since they moved…Mr. Sweetness has come along…and isn’t he delicious?!?

The “Ott” Club…

Met this fun crew down in Rockville…for an afternoon of swingin’, bug-swattin’ and gigglin’.  We ran it old school…and pulled an “Eight is Enough” family pyramid…awesome.  That will be one to look back on…enjoyed it.

Rocks in the Pond…

I get the giggles from the get-go because dad pulls up and says sarcastically, “Another silky, smooth morning in our household….”  Well throw a ball in the water…and run out of rocks…and that ties things up nicely with a bow.  I, for one, think we had a great time…because usually whatever it is that stresses parents out at a shoot…turns out to be better material for me.  Life is perfection without tears, people.  All the time.
