Sweet “J” and little Miss BeBe

Whenever I come down to Palm Beach, I get to see sweet “J”.  She is one of those people that is nothing but happy and pleasant to be around.  Her little BeBe is quite the little rascal that won’t leave mama’s side.  I do love that she and my canine nephews get out and have a little walk every afternoon.  They love it.  (yes, I did just call 2 dogs my nephews….)

By the way……Happy Birthday BeBe.  You got it made in the shade little lady.

“C” Cousins…..

I met “C” the last time I was here down in Palm Beach…..and was lucky enough this morning to meet her cousin “C”.  They are both 4 and full of energy…and giggles.  We had a big time with both families and grandparents.

There was a little bit of a fashion shoot….changing locations and outfits.  Fun GIRLIE stuff.  So great to meet up with you again….this is a little sneak peek.

Spunk, Spunk and More Spunk

This morning Mama pulls up….we say our quick hellos and out of the back… comes… little, miss, precocious (with a voice that makes you think sophisticated lady, fluffy boa and long cigarette.)  The hot, pink, glitter shoes tell you differently.   Mr. “J” hops out and gets right in the mix and…. I’m pretty sure I’ve known these two for years considering how easy it is to chat with them.

What a fun way to start my morning….here’s your sneak peek….

Little Miss “A”….

How cool that I got to hang out with little Miss “A” this afternoon.  She’s in the 5th grade and super comfortable and confident.  She was happy to spend a little time with me and I am digging her love for her big, ole, sweet dog.  “A” played with me just long enough to rush in and get ready for soccer practice.  Love it.

It was nice afternoon with you…..thanks for being such a positive, happy, little chick.  It was fun.  I’ll let you know when the rest go up.

Palm Beach Fun….with “L” and “S”

I’m back down in Palm Beach this week and first on my list were these cutie patooties.  “L” and I had so much fun while he was telling me about Spider Man and showing me his playhouse.  “S” knew exactly what today was about….aside from always giving me the big, blue eyes when necessary, he really enjoyed checking out the grass and relaxing on the sofa.  We had big plans to head down to the beach….but we wore ourselves out and called it a day.  Thanks for having me over to play….here’s your Sneak Peek.

Sweet brotherly love….

Great time of year……

I’ve been super-busy lately with some projects that don’t necessarily get a blog post daily…….but I’ve been shooting/editing St. Philips’ Preschool pictures…..Fortunately for me I usually get in there to see their Halloween costumes……love it.

I also have been shooting an assignment for ‘Country Weekly’…..and will update as I get updated….~woohoo~…..And I have been up to my favorite place of all time….MUSC Children’s Hospital….so just a reminder to all…..that things could be a lot worse….count your blessings and hug~kiss your munchkins.  All you have to do is take one step up there to say, “Life ain’t so bad after all.”

Spooky Time of Year….

I love me some Halloween……Happy Birthday to my big brother, Paul – Coolest. Birthday. Ever.

A little Sneak Peek into what’s hangin’ in my house.  Hope Halloween is Ghoulish, Spooky, Sweet and Fun for you.  We’ll be hanging in our neighborhood….with our traditional chili and cornbread with an open door to anyone hungry in the neighborhood.  My husband will be resisting the temptation of scaring the pooh out of the little ones in our hood.  Mmmm…..not yet….maybe next year. Whahhaahhahhaaahh.

A little bit from last night…….I was up in “hair and make-up” getting my daughter all made up into a creepy clown and an ole hag for myself (sadly, I just took an eyeliner and went over the already-existing lines in my face!)……but I missed the good light to get around and take pictures of all the cute neighbors…..

“Where were you on the night of……!”  (Poor little “T”)

Mmmm….perfect costume for this one….

This is what you get when you mix a 14-year old…..and some dry ice….and a black light….awesome.

Weekend Getaway….

This is where we were this weekend…….Kicking it old school with our church up in the North Carolina mountains at Kanuga.  No cell service….no t.v…..no internet.  Good…old fashioned…family fun.

We had a cabin with two other families…..and we went apple-picking, hiking, threw the football, played music, did a high-ropes course and laughed, laughed, laughed.  Great time for the whole family.  My favorite part?  Meal time…..because I didn’t have NOTHIN’ to do with it…before, during OR after.

Fall Morning at Alhambra….

I played with these cats Fall Break last year.  This year, everyone had just been on a little vacation and was ready to roll.  “T” is getting big and is not too interested in sitting c-l-o-s-e to his icky sister “K”……but, he needs to realize what an asset his younger sister will be when it comes to dating time.  (That’s how I met my husband….I was good friends with his younger sister!)  “B” is on fire and ready to go – go – go.  Love it.  Life is good for these people and they are happy.  Thanks for calling me out to play again this year….good to see you!

Wow…Beautiful Bridal Session…..

I am excited that I finally get to publish this post.  I put it up quickly back in September soon after our session…..

but took it down until she was married.

~~I love what I do.  Seriously.  I hope that for each session it proves to be stress-free and not too terribly painful.  I know how it can be – believe me.  I shot my 8-year old for a portrait last week and by the end of it, I knew why people call me.

The term “portrait” has always made me cringe a little.  I think it makes me see a carpet-covered block with some elbows and a diagonally scribbled signature in the bottom right-hand corner….you know what I mean.  This morning’s bridal portrait was anything but cheesy.  Okay, maybe mom’s smile (like how you make the mouth movements when you’re feeding a baby….)

The weather was beautiful, the cloud-cover was perfect…..and the bride was BREATHTAKING.  From her hair, to her dress to her big brown eyes. ~~

I hope your wedding was all that you wanted it to be this weekend…..I’m sure everything was fantastic.
